The Fiber Optic Data Link transmitter (FOT) is designed to convert 0 – 10 Vdc signals into fiber optic signals via fiber optic cable. The fiber optic signal is then converted by the receiver (FOR) into a directly proportional analog 0 – 10 Vdc signal. The Analog Fiber Optic Data Link is a highly accurate system using fiber optic cable that provides total electrical isolation eliminating problems with noise spikes, ground potential differences, lightning and EMI/RFI.

The Analog Fiber Optic Data Links use the latest state-of-the-art technology to assure the highest degree of accuracy over their specified temperature range. There are no field adjustments required. Simply apply power to both the FOT and FOR, connect the units with fiber optic cable and supply the proper input signal to the transmitter.

The Contact Closure transmitter (FOT-CC) provides a closed contact signal to the receiver (FOR-CC) which activates a SPDT relay.

Fiber Optic modules are supplied in accordance with a Quality Assurance Program which is ISO 9001:2000 Registered. The program is also in compliance with 10CFR50 Appendix B, ANSI N45.2 and ASME NQA-1.

Application assistance is available for special applications and design requirements. Assistance includes physical configuration requirements such as changes to the terminals, ST or SMA connectors, utilizing different fiber sizes and other physical details.
