An established solution for naval vessels providing continuous monitoring of the radiological threat and ensure that ships’ crews have minimum exposure to any radiation hazard. Our installed systems are in use throughout the world in 20 navies and, with the ANV S2 system, have the benefit of an extended in-service design lifetime.

Back-fit Option

A Back-fit solution is a
vailable for ships currently fitted with the Plessey/Siemens 22NRS and 23NRS RADIAC systems. The Back-fit uses the existing cabling, connectors, equipment housing and consoles. Back-fit options are available for all system configurations for surface and submarine fleets. Installation of a complete ship’s system and its commissioning are typically completed in one day.

The Back-fit enhances the performance specification of the system, extending the measurement range from natural background to full threat levels.

  • Extended measurement range-background to full RADIAC threat levels
  • 7 detector systems for frigates and larger ships
  • 2 detector systems for smaller ships and submarines
  • Rugged design to meet operational needs
  • Predicted Stay-Time for dose measurement
  • NATO codified and in-service with NATO fleets
  • Performance and design endorsed by UK MOD
  • Compatible with applicable DEF STANs
  • Data interface for Ship Platform Management Systems
  • Excellent reliability for extended deployments
  • Simple user interface and diagnostic routines
  • Minimum spares inventory and through life costs
  • Integrated simulation facility for on-board training
